On 21 August 2025, CARE hosted a seminar delivered by Constance COLLIN, a master's student in Meteorological Engineering at École Nationale de la Météorologie (ENM - Météo-France), titled: "Investigating the evolution of precipitation events through Drop Size Distributions (DSDs) in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)."
During her internship at CARE, under the supervision of Dr. Frédéric Cazenave (Deputy Scientific Director of CARE - HCMUT), Constance analyzed Drop Size Distributions (DSDs) from disdrometer data in Ho Chi Minh City. By examining both unnormalized and normalized DSDs, she investigated rainfall intensity, raindrop size distributions, and the transitions between convective and stratiform events, providing valuable insights into the microphysical processes of precipitation in southern Vietnam.
CARE appreciates Constance's contribution during her internship and thanks all attendees for their participation in the seminar.
