SEMINAR AT CARE: OCCURRENCE, FATE, AND IMPACT OF PLASTIC POLLUTION ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND HUMAN HEALTH
At 14:00, on March 8, 2024, the seminar titled "Occurrence, fate, and Impact of plastic pollution on the Environment and human health" took place at The Asian Centre for Water Research (CARE) - HCMUT. The speaker for this event, Dr. Florian Breider - Head of Unit at the École Polytechnique Federal de Lausanne (EPFL), presented the current situation of plastic pollution, the process of plastic pollution that has caused its negative impacts on environment and human health. The topic of environment, especially plastic pollution, is a global issue, so the seminar attracted many participants. Representatives of CARE, Dr. Marc Descloitres - Scientific Director of CARE, Dr. Frederic Cazenave - CARE Deputy Director, Ms. Le Thi Minh Tam along with experts in related fields and students of HCMUT had a lively discussion on this issue. The seminar provided up-to-date information and expert insights into the serious problem of plastic pollution that is happening all over the world. It was a valuable opportunity for researchers, students, staff, and those interested in the environment to learn more about this challenge and to seek solutions together.
