This study examines surface water quality across the Saigon and Vam Co river basins by integrating pollution indices, land use data, and spatial analysis. Results reveal high levels of heavy metals in downstream areas linked to urban and agricultural activities. The findings emphasize the influence of land use patterns on ecological risks and the need for targeted management strategies.
This study was funded by project ĐA2024-20-01 (VNU-HCM).

This study presents the first drone-based monitoring of total gaseous mercury (TGM) across different altitudes in an industrial zone of Southern Vietnam. UAV-mounted samplers were used to collect data at 50 m, 200 m, and 500 m. The research identified three distinct vertical distribution patterns of TGM under varying emission conditions, demonstrating the method's potential for high-resolution atmospheric monitoring.

This is the first multigenerational toxicity study of TBOEP on Ceriodaphnia cornuta, a tropical freshwater zooplankton. Delayed adverse effects were observed at environmentally relevant concentrations. The study also applied species sensitivity distributions to derive ecological thresholds, contributing to improved ecological risk assessment in tropical regions.

This research investigated the chronic effects of sublethal Bisphenol A (BPA) exposure on Daphnia magna across six generations. While early generations showed minor effects, the sixth generation exhibited reduced body size and fertility. The study highlights the potential for delayed multigenerational toxicity from endocrine-disrupting chemicals, reinforcing the need for long-term testing.
