On October 17, 2025, the CARE welcomed a delegation from SIGMA Clermont (France), including: Ms. Myriam Revéret, Director of International Relations; Dr. Damien Boyer, Associate Professor in Materials Chemistry and Deputy Director of International Relations; Dr. Thu Thuy Dang, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering for Robotics, Machines and Systems.
SIGMA Clermont is a French public engineering school located in Clermont-Ferrand, materials science, mechanical engineering, and industrial systems engineering. It is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles and maintains active partnerships with universities and research centers worldwide.
During the visit, CARE presented an overview of its main research areas and strategic initiatives, with a focus on its priorities in sustainable development, advanced technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration. The delegation visited several representative experimental facilities, including: The NBS Green Roof Model; the CARE Laboratory; the VNU-HCM Key Laboratory of Advanced Waste Treatment Technology.
The main objective of the visit was to strengthen the long-term and strategic partnership between HMCUT-CARE and SIGMA Clermont. Both sides also discussed and highlighted the importance of promoting student and academic exchange programs, expanding international opportunities for future engineers and researchers.
