The CARE has just embarked on the French-Vietnamese oceanographic campaign PLUME Vietnam (Particle transport along river pLUmes and their iMpact on coastal ecosystems off ViEtnam). We're delighted to have the opportunity to join the oceanographic campaign off the coast of Vietnam. We will be on board to study the concentration, distribution and fluxes of nutrients, greenhouse gases and emerging organic contaminants (PFASs, Pharmaceuticals, pesticides, industrial additives), in the Saigon-Dong Nai River and in two sections of the Mekong River. We will determine the impact of anthropogenic activities on coastal ecosystems.
Many other Vietnamese and french scientists are taking part in the cruise, find out more here: https://plumevietnam.com/
