CARE EXTENDS A WARM WELCOME TO DR. CELINE MARI, HEAD OF THE DISCO DEPARTMENT AT IRD, AND MRS. RAPHAËLE NISIN FROM THE IJL MANAGEMENT OFFICE AT IRD, ON THEIR OFFICIAL VISIT
CARE is pleased to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Celine MARI, the head of the DISCO department at IRD, and Mrs. Raphaële Nisin from the IJL management office at IRD, who are officially visiting on the upcoming December 04, 2023.
In the morning, there will be a field trip featuring a "Water Sampling Demonstration along the Saigon River," encompassing sampling, measuring, and a two-hour journey during low tide.
The afternoon agenda includes a presentation on the CARE laboratory and its IJL, led by Director Dr. Duc. The session will cover an overview of the activities planned for 2023, the LECZ-CARE project spanning 2019-2023, general organization, governance, and budget details presented by Dr. Descloitres and Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Dan. Additionally, there will be a presentation on the International Joint Laboratory CARE project for 2024-2028, covering general organization, governance, and budget aspects, presented by Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Dan and Dr. Christine Baduel.
Scientific activity selection will be discussed, including topics such as Groundwater Resources and Recharge, Eutrophication and Greenhouse Gases, Contaminants of Emerging Concern, Microplastics, Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), and Advances in Waste Treatment.
Following this, there will be a tour of the CARE lab, the ecotoxicology lab, and the VNU Key Lab for Water Treatment. The day will conclude with the departure of CARE scientists and DISCO members for the airport, where they will attend a workshop in Hanoi.
